Anzania: Eco Park

Anzania is a social enterprise dedicated to transforming degraded landscapes and turning them into recreational green spaces. Concepts range from a bamboo forest inviting exploration to a towering timber treehouse, water play zone, and a balance challenge area.
Reclaiming spaces of play with Anzania
Dream networks partnered with Anzania to design play spaces within the eco park. Regenerative spaces, where nature and play coincide. Check out four of the play spaces we designed below.
Maji land
A space where children of all ages can come together to transform the world around them through splashing, feeling, kicking and even being immersed in water. This space will incorporate places for children to problem solve as they balance and move water along trails together.
Rest Nooks
These cozy corners offer shaded seating areas where children can take a break from play, allowing them to recharge before jumping back into activities. For parents and guardians, rest nooks provide comfortable spots to observe and engage with their kids, promoting a safe and inclusive environment.
Senses Tower
The towering treehouse, a magical and captivating centerpiece of Anzania, invites visitors of all ages to climb, play, and let their imaginations soar. As children explore this enchanting space, their minds wander and discover the endless possibilities that this magical treehouse offers. The treehouse is a testament to the power of imagination, where children can transform ordinary moments into extraordinary adventures.
Maze
Are you ready to be enchanted? At Anzania the maze loops around and through the Anzana. It provides a space for children and adults to get lost in nature and adventure as they seek to find their way through.

Anzania’s ambition is to become Kenya’s first eco-positive leisure venue. This entails that the site, buildings, location and activities promote sustainability and nurture a connection between visitors and nature.

Anzania is reimagining the leisure experience in Kenya by blending of recreation, education, and conservation.
With urbanization and the rise of digital technology, children are increasingly removed from the natural world. Urban centres act like concrete jungles with a lack of public green space. Structured lifestyles have replaced the freedom to explore and connect with nature.
Anzania seeks to bridge this growing disconnect and to enhance children's development and wellbeing, repairing their connection to nature and inspiring advocates of action. The outdoor creative play gardens aim to nurture this reconnection.
